July 15, 2016, Columbus Ohio, we drove about 350 miles today. Tomorrow off to St. Louis
July 16, 2016, Saturday, arrived in St. Louis, stopped at Lewis & Clark Historic Site, stayed in Troy, IL Red Roof Inn

August 23-25, 2016, Camp at Mt. Rainier, climb Skyline trail to Glacier Vista on Mt. Rainier 6336'
August 25, 2016, Drive south into Oregon, Stay in Woodburn, OR

August 26, Continue driving south in Oregon, drove down Route 101, looking at the coast, stayed in Yachats, OR
August 27, Drove along and looked at the Oregon coast, looked at the dunes along the coast. stayed in Brookings OR,
August 28, Crossed into California today, drove down Route 101 and then Route 1, watched 3 male elks flashing their horns in play fight. staying at the Westport Hotel on Route 1 in Westport CA, North of Fort Bragg, lovely old hotel. Original built in 1890 serving the logging industry.
August 29, Continue down Rt. 1 to Port Arena, cross the mountains and continue on Rt. 101 to San Rafael. 
August 29-31, San Rafael, visiting family, doing laundry and taking a break
September 1-3, Los Angles, visiting family, Rudolf Schindler House, Japanese Noodles

September 3, Heading up to Yosemite, Beginning the big turn home, staying in Oakhurst, CA  
September 4, 2016 Visited Yosemite National Park, staying near Topaz Lake, Nevada 
September 5, 2016, Drove to and stayed in Elko, Nevada 
September 6, 2016, Visited the Northeastern Nevada Museum in Elko, NV, drove to Idaho Falls, Idaho 
September 7-9, 2016, Camped in Grand Teton National Park. Saw Prong Horned Antelope
September 9, 2016, Drove to Yellowstone National Park, Saw fire damage at the top of the Tetons, Took a wrong turn in Yellowstone and ended up driving to Livingston, Montana for the night.
September 10, 2016, Drove across Montana from Livingston to Glendive, Montana
September 11, 2016, Drove from Montana to Bismarck, North Dakota for the evening. Visited the Makoshika State Park in Montana, looking for dinosaurs, and the Painted Rock entrance of Theodore Roosevelt National Park in North Dakota. Saw Salem Sue, world largest cow. Night in Bismarck, ND
September 12, 2016, Visited the Lewis & Clark Interpretive Center and Fort Mandan in Washburn, ND outside Bismarck. Visited the Frontier Village and the worlds largest buffalo, night in Fargo, ND
September 13, 2016, Drive from Fargo, North Dakota to Ashland, Wisconsin on the edge of Lake Superior. We also drove through Minnesota to get here. 
September 14, 2016, Drive from Ashland, Wisconsin to Mackinaw City, Michigan, across the Upper Peninsula
September 15, Drive down the length of Michigan to Joliet, Illinois, visited the famous Joliet Prison and a local museum
September 16, Drive to Bloomington, Illinois to visit releatives
September 17, Drive to Chicago for more visits with friends and releatives.
September, 18, 2016, Chicago to Toledo, Ohio, Visited State Park
September, 19, 2016 Toledo, Ohio to Jamestown, NY, heading home.
September, 20, 2016, Drive to Holyoke and famous Webs Knitting Store, the center of all things knitting.
September, 21 2016, Drive to Hope Valley, RI and the completion of our mega trip. 

We drove about 12,000 miles over 2.5 month
